Yes - A visa is required for travel to Lithuania

A valid passport and missionary visa are required for travel to Lithuania.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Libya, with at least one blank passport page available for Lithuanian visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Lithuania visas.

Lithuania Visa Application Form:

One original Lithuanian visa application form. After placing your order, fill out the application form included in your Visa Application Kit.

Photo Requirements:

One recent (taken in the last 6 months) 2 x 2 identical passport photograph, in color, front view and with a plain/light background.

Letter Of Invitation:

A letter of invitation from the host organization or sponsor in Lithuania explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel to Lithuania. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and host’s name and contact information. Include a copy of work contract, or letter from officially recognized religious organization in Lithuania confirming that during your stay your expenses will be covered by the religious organization.

Medical Requirements:

Valid health/accidental/repatriation insurance with full international coverage.

Proof of Sufficient Funds:

Evidence of sufficient funds confirming that the applicant has at least a minimum Lithuanian wage amount of income per month (currently 300 EUR / per month) to support stay in Lithuania such as most recent bank.

In Person Appearance:

The Consulate requires applicants to make a personal appearance to apply for this visa. These instructions are provided as a guide to help with this process. We recommend that you contact your nearest Consulate directly to confirm requirements and make an appointment to apply in person.

Register your trip with the US Embassy:

The US State Department strongly encourages American citizens planning international travel to register with the US Embassy(s) in the countries they plan to visit. Registration notifies the US Embassy in each country of your travel plans and enrolls you in the State Department travel advisory and warnings program.
